How Much Can You Get for Unused Diabetic Supplies? 5 Example Payouts
Share
Updated September 2026
Quick answer: A single sealed box of CGM or Omnipod 5 supplies pays $20 to $260, depending on the product and expiration date. Because supplies ship in 90-day batches, a typical leftover stack is worth about $300 to $900. Omnipod 5 pays the most per box, then Dexcom G6 and G7, then FreeStyle Libre. First-time sellers with an order of $250 or more get an extra $20.
What one box is worth
| Product | Per sealed box |
|---|---|
| Omnipod 5 Starter Kit | $180 to $260 |
| Omnipod 5, 5-pack of pods | $130 to $150 |
| Dexcom G6 3-pack | $80 to $100 |
| Dexcom G7 15-Day (1 sensor) | $60 to $75 |
| Dexcom G7 10-Day (1 sensor) | $50 to $65 |
| FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus | $40 |
| FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus | $20 |
Where you land in each range depends on the expiration date. We buy boxes with at least 9 months left before expiry (FreeStyle Libre has its own minimums). Every tier and cutoff is in our 2026 price list.
Five example payouts
These are worked examples using our current prices, to show how a real-world stack adds up. They are illustrations, not specific customers.
1. Switched from Dexcom G7 to a pump
Six Dexcom G7 10-Day boxes (REF STP-AT-012), all expiring 11/2027.
6 × $65 = $390, plus the $20 new-seller bonus = $410. A full 90-day supply of 10-Day sensors is nine boxes, which would be $585.
2. Leftover G6 after moving to G7
Four retail Dexcom G6 3-packs: two expiring 12/2027 and two expiring 8/2027.
2 × $100 + 2 × $80 = $360, plus the bonus = $380.
3. Back to injections after Omnipod
Six Omnipod 5 pod 5-packs with more than 12 months until expiration.
6 × $150 = $900, plus the bonus = $920.
4. Switched off FreeStyle Libre
Seven FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus boxes, each with at least 6 months left.
7 × $40 = $280, plus the bonus = $300.
5. Clearing out a family member's closet
One Omnipod 5 Starter Kit with 10 months left, three Omnipod 5 pod packs with 10 months left, and two Dexcom G7 15-Day boxes expiring 8/2027.
$180 + 3 × $130 + 2 × $60 = $690, plus the bonus = $710. (Family guide.)
What moves the number
- The expiration date. The biggest factor. A G7 10-Day box pays $65 or $50 depending only on the date, and every month you wait moves boxes toward a lower tier. (How the date works.)
- The exact product. G7 15-Day pays more than 10-Day; Libre 3 Plus pays double Libre 2 Plus; only Omnipod 5 qualifies, not DASH.
- The REF code on Dexcom boxes. A code we can't buy is worth $0 to us, so check it first. (Retail vs DME.)
- Condition. We only buy mint-condition boxes. Boxes with dents or dings, writing, adhesive residue, crushed corners, torn or half-peeled labels, or water damage are not accepted. (Condition guide.)
- How it was paid for. Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and VA supplies can't be sold. (Insurance guide.)
What isn't worth anything to us
Opened, damaged, or expired boxes, loose sensors or pods, Dexcom transmitters and receivers, Omnipod DASH, non-Plus Libre sensors, test strips, and insulin. If that's most of what you have, donating to a clinic may be the better route.
Common questions
How much can I get for my unused diabetic supplies?
Sealed boxes pay $20 to $260 each depending on the product and expiration date. A typical leftover 90-day supply is worth roughly $300 to $900.
What diabetic supply sells for the most?
The Omnipod 5 Starter Kit, at up to $260, followed by Omnipod 5 pod 5-packs at up to $150 and Dexcom G6 3-packs at up to $100.
Is it worth selling just one or two boxes?
Usually, yes. Shipping is free and prices are per box, so even two Omnipod 5 pod packs can be $300.
Do you pay more for bigger orders?
Prices are per box, so ten boxes pays ten times one. First orders of $250 or more also get the $20 new-seller bonus.
