Dexcom G7 10-Day vs 15-Day: Which Boxes Can You Sell?
Share
Quick answer: Dexcom G7 comes in a 10-day and a 15-day sensor. The 15-Day version pays more — $50 to $75 per box versus $25 to $65 for the 10-Day. You can tell them apart by the model code on the box label: 10-Day boxes read STP-AT-012 or STP-AT-018, and 15-Day boxes read STP-FT-012.
How to tell which G7 you have
The boxes look nearly identical at a glance, and the difference is worth up to $25 per box, so it's worth ten seconds of checking.
- Turn the box so you can see the printed label, usually near the barcode.
- Find the short model code — a string that starts with STP or STE followed by two letters and three digits.
- Match it against the list below.
The front of the box also states the wear time, but the model code is the reliable check, because it also tells us whether the box is retail or DME.
Which model codes we accept
| Product | Accepted codes | We pay |
|---|---|---|
| Dexcom G7 15-Day | STP-FT-012 | $50 – $75 |
| Dexcom G7 10-Day | STP-AT-012, STP-AT-018 | $25 – $65 |
Codes we cannot buy: STE-AT-030, STP-AT-011, STE-FT-010, STE-FT-013, STE-FT-016. These are DME, pharmacy-supplied, or sample boxes. They aren't worth less to us — we can't purchase them at all, so please don't ship them.
Why 15-Day boxes pay more
A 15-day sensor covers 50% more wear time than a 10-day sensor from the same size box. One 15-Day box does the work of one and a half 10-Day boxes, so it carries more value. That's the whole story — it isn't a newer-is-better premium.
It also means the math on your closet changes depending on which you have. Three 15-Day boxes at the top tier is $225. Three 10-Day boxes at the top tier is $195.
What the expiration date does to each
| Model | Expiration | We pay |
|---|---|---|
| G7 15-Day | Expires 9/2027 + | $75 |
| G7 15-Day | Expires 6/2027 – 8/2027 | $60 |
| G7 15-Day | Expires 4/2027 – 5/2027 | $50 |
| G7 10-Day | Expires 9/2027 + | $65 |
| G7 10-Day | Expires 6/2027 – 8/2027 | $50 |
| G7 10-Day | Expires 4/2027 – 5/2027 | $30 |
| G7 10-Day | Expires 2/2027 – 3/2027 | $25 |
Notice that a 10-Day box near the bottom tier pays a third of a top-tier 15-Day box. Both the model and the date matter.
What if I have a mix of both?
That's the normal case for anyone whose prescription changed mid-year. Add each type separately on the quote form with its own quantity, and the total sorts itself out. You ship them in the same box and get one payment.
Common questions
Where is the model code on a Dexcom G7 box?
On the printed label, usually beside or beneath the barcode. It's a short string like STP-FT-012. If you can't find it, text a photo of the label to (910) 807-3468 and we'll read it for you.
Can I sell a DME or pharmacy-supplied G7 box?
No. We buy retail boxes only. Codes such as STE-AT-030 and STE-FT-013 can't be purchased, so it's worth checking before you pack anything.
Does a 15-Day box need the same 6 months to expiration?
Yes. Both versions need at least 6 months of shelf life remaining, and both pay more the further out the date is.
